From the garden and bakery
The shop will bring together produce from Wendling Beck Market Garden with bread, pastries and savoury baking from the Wild Things bakery.
It will be a place to pick up something for dinner, take home a loaf, discover what is abundant in the garden and find food made in our kitchen.
What to expect
Farm-grown produce
Fresh, seasonal vegetables, herbs, fruit and flowers from Wendling Beck Market Garden.
From the bakery
Sourdough, pastries, buns, focaccia and savoury baking, made on site throughout the week.
Wild Things provisions
Ferments, preserves, pickles, sauces and pantry goods made from the garden’s harvest and the kitchen’s seasonal gluts.
Food from people we admire
A thoughtful selection of produce from growers, makers and suppliers who share our approach to quality, provenance and careful production.
Made for everyday life
Some things will be ready to eat straight away. Others will be there to help with supper, fill the pantry or bring to the table.
Expect changing shelves rather than a fixed range, guided by what is growing, what we are cooking and what is available from the people we work with.
Preserving the harvest
The shop will help us make full use of what the garden grows.
When something is abundant, we will preserve, ferment, pickle and bottle it for later in the year, allowing the season to continue beyond the fresh harvest.
Find us before we open
A small selection of bread, baking, ferments and seasonal produce will be available during our summer events at Wendling Beck Market Garden.
